Welcome to Mariposa Therapy! Bienvenidos a Mariposa Therapy!
I am a licensed therapist, in the Inland Empire, who provides individual, couples, family, group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. I also provide immigration psychological evaluations. I have been working in this field for the past eight years, and have experience working in various settings including - domestic violence and youth shelters, juvenile detention centers, hospitals, school settings, and outpatient clinic environments. I believe that every individual is the expert in their lives and has the answers within themselves. Sometimes when life brings about difficult changes, we may need a little space and support along the way, and that's what I'm here for.
I am a California native, having been raised in the Coachella Valley and having lived in the Inland Empire for the past eleven years. My undergraduate degree was obtained at the University of Redlands - dual major in Race and Ethnic Studies and Spanish. My postgraduate degree was obtained from Loma Linda University, where I earned a Master's in Social Work. Much of my work as a therapist is based upon attachment theory, however I utilize multiple theoretical interventions in my work with clients, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and the Community Resiliency Model.
No matter what the reason – taking the step to start therapy is powerful and important, because it means you’re taking the time to take care of the most important person in your life – YOU!
